Lawyer Nasser Hashem’s plea in a Dubai court regarding an embezzlement case involving “the general leadership of Dubai Police“: The Dubai Criminal Court heard yesterday the plea of lawyer Nasser Hashem in an embezzlement case involving two individuals of Arab and Asian nationalities who are accused of embezzling funds from the Medical Affairs Department. The expert committee at the Dubai Ruler’s Court had previously submitted its report, which the defense team analyzed and pointed out inconsistencies in, arguing that it did not consider the provisions of the preliminary ruling. Lawyer Nasser Hashem had requested an acquittal of his client on the grounds that the charges against him were unfounded, or alternatively, to refer the case back to the expert committee to address his objections. The court had issued its decision to adjourn the case for judgment on March 26, 2015.
